HARTINGTON - Eighty-three yards in 35 seconds.

That was the drive that propelled Ord to the Class C2 semifinals in a stunning 27-21 upset of previously unbeaten top-seed Cedar Catholic on Friday.

The Chanticleers had opened up a 14-point lead at the half, thanks to junior star QB Jordan Williams and a dynamic offensive attack.

But the Trojans controlled much of the second-half, tying the game at 21 on a 36-yd TD pass from Grady Haberer to Mason Baller and leaving Ord with just 1:13 to go in the fourth quarter after the kickoff.

That was plenty of time.

Williams connected with senior Landon Critels on a 48-yd TD pass that gave the Chanticleers the lead for good.

Cedar Catholic's season ends prematurely after finishing unbeaten in the regular season for the first time since 1975.

Ord, meanwhile, is on to the semis after an 0-3 start to the season. They're the first Class C2 team to pull off that feat since the state champion Yutan Chieftains in 2017.

Next up for the Chanticleers is Grand Island Central Catholic, a team Ord beat earlier this season.
