ASHLAND - One of the most high-octane offenses in Nebraska turned in another dominant performance Friday, routing Chadron 47-13 in the first round of the Class C1 playoffs.

The Bluejays scored all 47 of their points in the first half, with their vaunted passing attack hitting on big play after big play.

Senior quarterback Derek Tonjes tied a Class C1 playoff record for passing touchdowns in a game with six, joining Aurora' Baylor Scheierman, who tossed six TD's against Arlington in 2018.

A-G's defense kept a short-handed Cardinal squad from ever getting comfortable. Holding them to just 78 yards in the first half and 222 overall.

The Bluejays will now play in the second round for the eighth straight season.
