NORFOLK, Neb. — The Norfolk Public Schools Board of Education voted for a new superintendent. 

Erik Wilson has been with Norfolk Public Schools for 25 years, he is currently the Associate Superintendent, and was voted to become the next superintendent. 

Board members expressed their support towards the new announcement. 

“I’m excited to work with Erik Wilson. He’s been involved in the Norfolk Public School system for many years. He has a passion for the job and will put his heart into making NPS the best it can be,” said Mrs. Brenda Carhart, President of the NPS Board of Education.

“I’m very excited for this next chapter in Norfolk Public Schools history. I look forward to working with Mr. Wilson and making Norfolk Public Schools a top performing district,” said Mr. Tom Stanton, Vice President of the NPS Board of Education.

The Board of Education is now formalizing negotiations and a contract, with plans of taking action at their next meeting.
