GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — The Grand Island Public Library will soon give readers more time on the weekends.

Beginning Jan. 10, the library will expand its Saturday hours, staying open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Until Jan. 3, Saturday hours remain 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Weekday hours will not change.

The library will closed Jan. 1.

Library leaders say the expanded hours are designed to better serve the community heading into the new year.
