Indiana man arrested in Cheyenne drop-box theft investigation

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - An Indiana man has been arrested in connection with a series of drop-box thefts reported at Cheyenne apartment complexes earlier this year, according to the Cheyenne Police Department.
Nicholas Holder, 27, was taken into custody on Nov. 11 and booked into the Laramie County Jail on three counts of felony theft. His arrest follows an investigation into deposits stolen from drop-boxes between Feb. 28 and March 10 at properties on Taft Avenue and Mountain Road.
Police say video footage captured two men involved in the thefts. On March 14, investigators shared the footage through the Silent Witness Laramie County program. Later that day, a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper contacted Cheyenne detectives after recognizing the men from a prior encounter on the interstate. Body-camera video from that stop was submitted to the Division of Criminal Investigation, which identified both suspects using a criminal database.
Warrants were issued May 22 for Holder and another suspect, 26-year-old Quantel White, also of Indiana. White has not been located and remains wanted.
Cheyenne police thanked the Wyoming Highway Patrol, DCI and the public for assisting in the case.
Anyone with information on White’s whereabouts can contact Detective Webster at 307-633-6692 or submit anonymous tips to Silent Witness Laramie County at 307-638-8477 or silentwitnesslaramiecounty.com.
