Sidney woman injured in early morning accident

SIDNEY -- A Sidney woman was transported to Sidney Regional Medical Center October 28 with injuries sustained in an accident involving a parked vehicle and a residential structure.
The accident occurred at 8:03 a.m. on Newton Street.
Marcella Mueller, of Sidney, was driving a 2003 Ford Escape north on 15th Avenue when it collided with a trailer. The vehicle continued through the intersection at 15th Avenue and Newton Street, proceeding west on Newton Street. The Ford Escape collided with a second vehicle while traveling west on Osage Street. After the Escape collided with the second vehicle, it collided with a 2009 Ford F150 pickup truck parked on the north side of Osage Street.
After colliding with the pickup, the Escape traveled southeast in reverse and collided with 1503 Newton St. The Escape, still in reverse, then traveled east, crossing 15th Avenue and coming to rest on the sidewalk at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Newton Street.
The Escape sustained extensive damage, the pickup sustained “functional damage,” according to the accident report, and the trailer sustained minor damage.
Mueller was transported by ambulance with possible serious head injuries.
