Fanny’s Farmhouse cancels Haunted Hallows after family member injured in Sidney crash

GURLEY, Neb. - Fanny’s Farmhouse canceled its annual Haunted Hallows attraction following a serious car accident that left a member of the family injured.
The business announced the decision in a social media post over the weekend, saying, “Our son was in a very serious car accident and we have decided to close for the fall season. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
The announcement follows Friday evening’s crash in Sidney, where police said a silver SUV struck a blue Jeep from behind on Old Post Road, causing the Jeep to roll multiple times. The driver of the Jeep was ejected and seriously injured.
The Sidney Police Department said the other driver was charged with reckless driving. The investigation remains ongoing.
Since the announcement, hundreds of comments have poured in on social media offering prayers and support to the family.
“Sending love and many prayers,” one commenter wrote. “May God use his healing power to quicken your son’s recovery,” another said. Others shared similar messages, writing “Prayers for strength and comfort” and “We are praying for your family.”
