BRIDGEPORT, Neb. - The Nebraska School Activities Association released the Class D1 football playoff bracket Saturday morning, confirming four Western Plains teams - Kimball, Bridgeport, Perkins County and Hemingford - have earned postseason berths.

The 2025 D1 first-round games are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23, with the championship game for Class D1 is set for Monday, Nov. 24 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

No. 6 Bridgeport's (7-1) opening-round game at home vs. No. 27 Clarkson/Leigh will be covered on 987 The Big Boy at 3 p.m. MDT. It's the fourth consecutive season the Bulldogs have qualified for the postseason and the fifth time in six seasons. They're seeking their first-ever state title. 

No. 28 Kimball (4-4), in the postseason for the first time since 2013, travels to No. 5 Crofton (6-2). Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. MDT The game will be carried on 1043 KIMB. The Longhorns are 1-14 all-time in the playoffs. 

No. 13 Hemingford (7-1) hosts No. 20 East Butler at 2 p.m. MDT and No. 23 Perkins County (5-3) travels to No. 10 Thayer Central (7-1) at 4:30 MDT in the first round.
