TICKET PUNCHED! Beatrice returns to state finals after 16-8 win over Waverly

HASTINGS, Neb. - Beatrice Softball will officially have a chance to repeat as Class B state champions.
The Lady Orange run ruled the Waverly Vikings 16-8 in five innings on Thursday evening, behind five homers.
Tatum Temeplmeyer homered twice in the win, while Karrigan Henrichs, Callie Schwisow and Jada Berke all also went deep. The five homers also tie the NSAA single season home run record.
Beatrice scored in every inning Thursday night, including a six run second.
Beatrice will now face off with top seed Grand Island Northwest who beat the Lady Orange 6-3 in August.
The Class B state title is set for 3:30 p.m. Monday at Bowlin Stadium in Lincoln.
