BEATRICE, Neb. - Lady Orange softball battled through a tough start to the postseason, but survives, knocking off Seward 4-2. 

With the win, Beatrice advances to a best-of-three district final with Elkhorn. Beatrice's Layla Boyko pitched a complete game, striking out 11, while allowing two runs, none earned, on three hits. 

Beatrice fell behind 1-0 in the first after Alli Theobold doubled and later scored, but the Lady O took their first lead after a two-run double by Jada Berke in the second. After Seward tied the contest in the third, Beatrice would break the tie in the bottom of the sixth with a pair of runs off RBI's by Sadie Hereth and Brooke Gleason.

Beatrice's first contest with the Antlers begins at 2:00 p.m. Friday, with the game on 94.7 FM/1450 AM KWBE.
