Animal causes thousand of residents to lose power
Almost 5,000 residents were without power Wednesday morning because of a wandering animal.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb.— Almost 5,000 residents were without power Wednesday morning because of a wandering animal.
A city news release says a squirrel climbed into a substation around 11:30 A.M. in eastern Grand Island causing a fault.
The squirrel took out many residents power for about five minutes.
Power is back up and running without issues, according to officials.
