Humboldt teen killed in traffic accident
Truck collided with Explorer west of Auburn

JOHNSON – Johnson Fire and Rescue was dispatched at 6:43 a.m. Friday to a truck on fire three miles west of Auburn on Highway 136.
The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office reports a two-vehicle crash that involves a fatality.
The sheriff’s office report says 17-year-old Ren Avery of rural Humboldt was traveling on 634 Avenue and crossing the highway when her Ford Explorer was struck by a Freightliner. The truck caught fire, but the driver was not injured.
