Leyton's football team remains undefeated

CHAPPELL - Leyton starts 4-straight offensive drives with consecutive touchdowns to get a 71-21 win over Creek Valley Thursday night in class D6 football.
Senior Alec Watchorn got the night going with 4 touchdowns on 4 rush attempts for a total of 132 yards. He also completed one pass for 26 yards for a total of 158 yards of offense.
Junior Isaac Rohde finished the night with 85 Yards rushing on 3 attempts and added 2 touchdowns. Leyton finished with 339 yards of offense, rushing 278 on 20 attempts and threw 3-of-6 for 61 yards passing.
Leyton also scored 11 touchdowns, rushing 8, passing for 2 and 1 fumble recovery returned.
Senior Mason Timm led the way for The Storm rushing the ball 22 times, capturing 158 yards and also threw 6-0f-17 for 118 yards. Timm also had 2 out of the 3 touchdowns for Creek Valley.
Senior Alvin Russell also added 96 yards rushing off of 13 attempts and caught 4 passes for 75 yards, eclipsing 171 yards of offense.
The Storm finished with 263 yards rushing, 124 yards passing for a total of 387 yards of offense.
Leyton remains perfect at 5-0 and will face No.1 Garden County (5-0) on Thursday at 7 PM with coverage on 98.7 The Big Boy. Creek Valley falls to 2-3 and will travel to Big Springs and face the South Platte Blue Knights (1-4) on Thursday at 7 PM.
