CROFTON - In a game with almost 900 yards of offense, it was a series of defensive plays that proved to be the difference.

Class D1 #10 Crofton held seventh-ranked Hartington-Newcastle to one-for-six on fourth down, while finishing all but two of their drives in the end zone in a 52-30 homecoming win.

The Warriors defense held the Wildcats to their lowest output on the scoreboard this season, despite Hartington-Newcastle racking up 422 yards of offense.

It was Crofton's offense that was almost impossible to stop. The Warriors finished with 488 yards of offense, 343 of which came on the ground.

Junior running back continued his remarkable start to the season. His 176 yards and 4 TD's Friday upped his totals to 1037 yds and 25 TD through just five games.

The win is Crofton's fourth straight over Hartington-Newcastle.
