BEATRICE, Neb. - While one top-ranked southeast Nebraska team saw their winning streak come to an end, the other extended it to 14 games. 

Top-ranked Beatrice knocked off #3 Crete 10-5 on Thursday night, using a seven run sixth inning to pull off the win. 

The game began with a solo shot home run by Crete sophomore Madynn Dunham, one of two homers by Dunham in the ball game. Dunham, also getting the start in the circle, would no hit Beatrice into the fourth inning. 

Crete extended their lead to 4-0 in the fourth with a bases clearing triple by Macy Dunaway. 

Beatrice's comeback bid began in the fifth inning when Tatum Tempelmeyer went deep to cut a 5-2 Crete lead to 5-3. 

Beatrice would send 11 batters to the plate in the bottom of the sixth, when Brooke Gleason recorded a three run triple with two outs in a full count. 

In the circle, Layla Boyko recorded the win for the Lady Orange tossing a complete game, allowing four earned runs on five hits, while also recording a season high 13 strikeouts. 

With the win, Beatrice improves to 21-4 on the year, while Crete drops to 19-3 with the loss.
