Peetz tops Creek Valley with dominant performance at service line

CHAPPELL, Neb. — Peetz used a strong showing at the service line to sweep Creek Valley in three sets Tuesday night, recording 17 aces on their way to the win.
Senior Alexis Gentry powered the Bulldogs’ attack, serving up 12 aces while adding a kill and an assist. Sophomore Nataleigh Kalb posted a team-high five kills to go with two aces, while junior Megan Hawkins added four kills and a block. Junior Ella Pejsa contributed three kills and two blocks.
As a team, Peetz finished with 22 kills, three blocks and 20 assists.
Creek Valley was led by freshman Halle Jenik with four kills. Junior Catherine Tilghman and freshman Aivree Bauer each added two kills, while freshman Teagan Davidsen tallied all eight of the Storm’s assists.
The loss dropped Creek Valley to 0-13. The Storm will host Banner County (2-9) on Friday. Peetz improved to 2-9 and will host Banner County on Saturday.
