NORFOLK, Neb.- A Norfolk man is in custody for his potential role in a house fire now being investigated as arson.
Devon Marshall, 36, was arrested Monday without incident after he was seen with a can of gasoline and a firearm on surveillance footage near the home, officials say.
Early Monday morning Norfolk Fire was dispatched to a house fire which, by the time of arrival they say, had been mostly extinguished with a garden hose by the resident of the home. No injuries were reported.
Hours later, the fire authorities say they determined the fire appeared to be intentionally set.
Marshall is said to know the victim and is now being held in Madison County Jail on arson, attempted murder, and weapon charges.
