Bees Ground Game Grinds Out the Game and Clock

CROFTON - A punishing, time-consuming running attack pushed the Bloomfield Bees to a 30-18 road win Friday night over the Crofton Warriors.
Brock Jeannoutot continued to be the power gear in the Bloomfield offense, scoring the game's first TD in the opening quarter and finishing with 161 yards on 28 carries. He had plenty of help, though, as Max Bruce chipped in a score and Gannon Edholm found the end zone twice.
The Warriors gamely answered the call every time the Bees tried to put the game away. Twice when Bloomfield would go up by 10 points, Crofton would cut it to a one-score game. That was in large part thanks to the efforts of running back Tyson Jackson, who piled up 206 yards and 3 scores on the night.
The contest came down to one final drive -- with the Bees up 22-18 and 5 minutes left, Bloomfield methodically chewed up yards AND clock, culminating in Edholm's 2nd TD with just seconds left.
Bloomfield (4-0) heads to Osmond/Wausa next week, while Crofton (2-2) is home again next Friday against Hartington-Newcastle.
