State Patrol certain they've identified homicide victim as missing Alliance man

ALLIANCE, Neb. — The Nebraska State Patrol believes they've identified the victim in a Box Butte County homicide investigation as 32-year-old Ebram Sifuentes of Alliance.
Sifuentes had been missing since Aug. 27. Investigators discovered human remains in rural Box Butte County on Sept. 4. While an autopsy was conducted Monday, additional testing is underway to provide final confirmation, according to NSP Public Relations Director Cody Thomas.
State Patrol investigators believe Sifuentes was the victim of a homicide. Last week, troopers arrested Tamara Bingham, 26, of Alliance, on suspicion of first-degree murder. Matthew Landreth, 36, also of Alliance, was arrested as an accessory to a felony.
Court records reviewed this week by KOLN show that on the day NSP announced the search for Sifuentes, Bingham filed for a protection order against him. In her filing, she alleged abuse and threats during their relationship, though the order has not been granted. Prosecutors have not released details of Landreth’s alleged role in the case.
This remains an active investigation. NSP said it has been assisted by the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office, Alliance Police Department, Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, the WING Task Force, the Sheridan and Box Butte County Attorneys, and the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office.
