NORFOLK, Neb. — A turbulent week of weather continued Thursday night as powerful storms swept across northeast Nebraska. The storms triggered a tornado watch, a flood advisory, and multiple severe thunderstorm warnings throughout the region.

Heavy rain caused localized flooding in low-lying areas in cities like Norfolk and Stanton. Places in Antelope County encountered hail, with the largest report of 1.75-inch diameter hail stones coming from Neligh. The National Weather Service also received hail reports from areas around Genoa and Monroe.

The storm also delivered high winds. Norfolk registered a peak gust of 63 mph.
