FULLERTON, Neb.- A teenager is dead after getting caught in the Cedar River current, authorities say.

Witnesses told Nance County Sheriff Office officials that they saw a 15-year-old girl get pulled under the water by the current.

Witnesses say they saw two teenage girls swimming near the low head dam.

Even though CPR and other life saving efforts were made at the scene, the girl was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to authorities.

The victims name will not be release to the public for at least 24 hours in accordance with the police.
