NORFOLK, Neb. — People in northeast Nebraska will soon have another fast food option for burgers, fries and frozen custard.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers announced that it will open a Norfolk location on Tuesday. The restaurant will be at 1202 S. 13th St., which is on the northwest corner of the intersection of 13th St. and Omaha Ave.

“We’re thrilled to enter this dynamic neighborhood that is flourishing with restaurants and retail businesses,” franchise owner Ron Oberg said in a statement. “Our location makes us an easily accessible dining option for guests traveling along the highway, as well as guests looking for a place to eat after shopping at our retail neighbors.”

The restaurant will be able to seat 78 guests in a 3,026-foot facility. It will include additional seating on the patio and offer drive-thru service. Freddy’s will be open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Freddy’s labels itself as a fast-casual concept and boasts more than 550 locations across 36 states. It was founded in Wichita, Kansas in 2002.
