SIDNEY -- They've been seen from Lodgepole to various events in Sterling with their homemade ice creams and welcoming demeanor. Price Cream recently announced it is setting up a permanent location.

The Prices recently announced the purchase of 827 10th Ave. in Sidney.

The former saddle and tack shop will be the base of operation for the Price Cream Company.

Price Cream started as a back yard discussion, a "why not" question that developed into a business venture.

"We had the idea just sitting in the backyard one summer. We watched the little ice cream truck go by the house and we thought 'hey, we could do that, but a little bit differently," Lindsey Price said.

The business could be called a craft ice cream. The favors trace back to recipes they made at home.

"We had been making a lot of homemade ice cream at home, and it was delicious, and we thought we'd like to share it with the community," she said.

Their menu choices vary from coffee to gluten-free selections, all of the family's imagination.

"We offer a variety of flavors, all of them are offered gluten-free, but its a super-premium ice cream made with the purest ingredients. We source special local cream, and every batch is made by hand in our kitchen. It's a specialty product that we put a lot of love into," she said.

Their goal is to have the storefront ice cream shop open in June. Hours have yet to be determined, but Lindsey Price assures they will be open longer.

Adam Price said Price Cream is a combination of passion and skills developed.

"Linds has a background in business and economics, so she really had a good, I think, stepping off point with some of her history on how to scale it, what would be needed into scaling a business like this," he said.

He added the goal is to have a business fun for their children, and teaching them entrepreneurship skills. Lindsey Price said the 10th Avenue location was not expected as it happened.

"This building kind of just kind of fell into our lap. We really feel like God had the provision for us to have this come our way at the exact time that it did and we are really excited to be in Hickory Square, with all of our fantastic neighbors, and the fun things that happen here in the summer time," she said.
