Missing Sidney teen found safe, authorities say

SIDNEY, Neb. – A 14-year-old boy who was reported missing Saturday in Sidney has been found safe, according to the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Adam Frerichs confirmed late Saturday Maddox Hodgson was located after a search that began earlier in the day. He had last been seen around noon in the Legion Park area, where he was with his brother before the two parted ways.
Authorities had asked for the public’s help in locating the teen, describing him as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing around 100 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black jacket, dark gray sweatpants and carrying a black backpack.
No further details were released, but the sheriff's office thanked the public for their assistance.
