CHAPPELL -- Chappell Lake has more reasons for the public to visit.

Chappell Lake is a quiet lake between Chappell and Interstate 80 that has memorials of a plane crash early in the 20th century, and is near the Chappell airport.

New to the site is a mural painted by Lauren Olson. The mural is in memory of Curtiss Routh of Chappell who had originally painted the mural. Olson has also painted the other murals in Chappell.

In addition, a nine-hole disc golf course is taking shape at Chappell Lake. Hole 1 is near the parking lot. Work is underway to install the hole signs.
