LINCOLN, Neb. — It's not officially the state tournament until a major upset happens.

The top-seed in Class C2 was eliminated in the opening round on Thursday, with Johnson-Brock falling to 8-seed Guardian Angels Central Catholic 53-38.

Izzy Kreikemeier scored for the Jays three seconds after the opening tip, and GACC never surrendered the lead from there. 

The Eagles were able to fight back to within six points with 5:30 to go, but Guardian Angels ended the game on a 14-5 run to advance to the semis for the third straight season.
