Bridgeport falls in overtime to Omaha Concordia in C1-3 District Final

OMAHA, Neb. — The Bridgeport boys basketball saw their season come to a heartbreaking end Saturday, falling to Omaha Concordia 54-47 in overtime in the Class C1-3 District Final at Omaha Concordia.
Bridgeport held a six-point lead at halftime, but the third-seeded Mustangs rallied in the second half and forced overtime on a three-pointer, ultimately securing their fifth straight state tournament berth. The Bulldogs finish the season at 18-9.
Junior Gage Nein led Bridgeport with 13 points, while sophomore Hayes Watts added 12.
The Mustangs were led by Jack Thrasher with 17 points, followed by Owen Abendroth (13), Jackson Shepard (11) and Drew Kulus (10).
The Bulldogs capped off another successful season with a district final appearance, a year after qualifying for the state tournament.
