BRAINARD, NE - The Elmwood-Murdock Knights took home the Subdistrict D1-2 boys basketball title with a 53-40 upset over East Butler on Thursday, as heard on Otoe County Country.

Elmwood-Murdock used a triple threat attack with 14 points from Aidan Schmidt and eleven points apiece from Carson Towle & Dashiell Coleman. East Butler had a balanced performance as well. The Tigers were led by the 13 of Brody Johnson, while Jakson Smaus hit for eleven & Grant Kozisek put ten in.

Both teams will head to the District Finals next. East Butler got a wildcard spot as the 10-seed and will clash with Dundy County Stratton, while Elmwood-Murdock secured the 9-seed and will take on Bertrand.
