Ten River Country Wrestlers Finish in the Top Six at the 2025 Boys State Wrestling Championships

OMAHA, NE - The three-day Boys State Wrestling Championships wrapped up at the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha on Saturday. Ten area wrestlers made it to the podium with top-six finishes.
In Class B, Nebraska City had one wrestler recognized, as Noah Boyer grabbed 4th place at 106 pounds. Plattsmouth wound up with four grapplers making the podium. Finishing in 3rd place were Odin Anschutz at 132 pounds & Wesley Vick at 215 pounds. Brenden Ging took 4th place at 157 pounds, while Jack Laney settled for 5th at 106 pounds.
In Class C, Syracuse had the only wrestler in River Country to walk away as a champion with Brock Goebel taking home the title at 106 pounds. Cy Petersen was also impressive with a 3rd place showing at 165 pounds. Petersen pinned the same wrestler who gave him a Major Decision loss in the 2nd round of the tournament. Falls City's Robert Gilkerson secured 4th place at 157 pounds, and James Kansteiner of Conestoga was runner up at 157 pounds.
Finally, in Class D, Weeping Water's Luke Harms snagged a 6th place spot at 157 pounds.
