SCOTTSBLUFF -- At about 10:55 a.m., Thursday, February 20, Scottsbluff Police responded to a reported three-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of Hwy 26 and Ave B.

The northwest portion of the intersection was closed for about one hour.

The accident involved a silver 2001 Ford Ranger driven by Cherryl Press, 76, of Mitchell, NE., a maroon 2015 Ram 1500 driven by Jason Scott, 44, of Lingle, WY., and a white 2013 Toyota 4Runner driven by Victoria Gier ,54, of Scottsbluff.

It was determined that the Ford was traveling eastbound on Hwy 26 turning north when it failed to yield to the approaching westbound Ram. The Ford and Ram collided within the intersection.

The impact caused the Ram to impact the Toyota that was stationary on Ave B facing south waiting for the red traffic signal.  All three vehicles sustained front end damage.  The Ford and Toyota were towed due to damages and the Ram was driven away.

One driver was transported by Regional West Medical Center (RWMC) Ambulance Services to RWMC for treatment of minor injuries.  Press was issued a citation for Failure to Yield. Scottsbluff Fire Department and RWMC Ambulance Services assisted in the response.
