ODELL, NE - Lourdes Central Catholic nabbed a 53-35 win over Pawnee City in the opening round of the Subdistrict D1-1 Tournament on Tuesday, as heard on Otoe County Country. 

The Indians' defense kept things close at halftime, as the heavily favored Knights were only up a bucket at 23-20. Lourdes CC started the second half on a 10-2 run, though, to push that lead to double figures on the way to a 53-35 win.

LCC was led by the 13 points of Lauren Benedict, while Mikena Haag tossed in ten. Kinsley Benson was able to drop in 14 for Pawnee City. The Knights will take on Diller-Odell on Wednesday (2/19) afternoon at 4 p.m., followed by the other semifinal match with Weeping Water clashing with Tri County - all on Otoe County Country. Pawnee City's season ends with a mark of 7-16, while LCC is now 18-6.
