Cedar Catholic outlasts upset-minded Battle Creek
BATTLE CREEK - Class C2 #7 Cedar Catholic overcame an off night from some of their top scorers and took down Battle Creek on the road 55-49.
Trojan mainstays Nolan Becker and Jaymison Cattau were held to single digits, but junior Aaron Wortmann stepped up with 22 points and eight rebounds.
The Trojans out-rebounded the Braves 36-23, which helped them overcome 15 turnovers.
The win was Cedar Catholic's eighth in a row over Battle Creek.
