Indianapolis, IN (January 28, 2025) – The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis (THFGI) is proud to announce the appointment of two distinguished leaders, Dr. Janet Arno and Paul Babcock, to its Board of Directors. Their extensive experience in healthcare and public service will strengthen THFGI’s mission to improve the health and well-being of Indiana’s most vulnerable populations.

Dr. Janet Arno brings decades of expertise in infectious disease research, clinical practice, and public health leadership. A Professor Emerita of Clinical Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine and Medical Director at the Bell Flower Clinic, Dr. Arno has dedicated her career to combating sexually transmitted infections and advancing public health initiatives.

Paul Babcock currently serves as the President and CEO of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. With a proven track record in healthcare administration and public policy, Babcock has led transformative projects, including the development of Indianapolis’ $600 million Community Justice Campus and the city’s public health response to the health crisis.

“Dr. Arno and Mr. Babcock both bring invaluable expertise and leadership to our board,” said Jason Grisell, THFGI President and CEO. “Their combined experience in healthcare, public health and community engagement aligns perfectly with our mission to address health disparities and support vulnerable communities across Indiana.”

The addition of Dr. Arno and Mr. Babcock to the Board marks a significant step forward in THFGI’s efforts to drive impactful health programs and partnerships.
