MURRAY, NE - The Elmwood-Murdock Knights headed to the Conestoga gym on Friday and left the court with a doubleheader sweep of the Cougars. EM grabbed a solid 58-31 win in the girls' contest, then followed it with a narrow 65-56 victory in the boys' game.

The opening contest saw Elmwood-Murdock get a game-high 15 points from Brooklyn Mans, followed by Brooke Goudie with 13, and Ayzlee Haertel with eleven. For Conestoga, Grace Rodis dropped in 13, while Ayla Garrett found double figures with a dozen. EM improved to 8-4 with the win, while Conestoga fell to 3-11.

The guys' game went the Knights' way thanks to another three players scoring in double digits. Aidan Schmidt led the charge with 18, Clayton Fletcher knocked down four treys and 16 points, and Dashiell Coleman wound up with 13. Logan Lutt hit five triples for the Cougars and had 17 points, while Cole Merwald finished with 14. Conestoga stayed close thanks to a 9-6 advantage from downtown. 

Next up for the Knights is a home doubleheader against Tri-County on Tuesday, while Conestoga will visit Palmyra that same evening.
