Doane's Hatcliff named GPAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Doane standout Mak Hatcliff, formerly of the Beatrice Lady O, was named the GPAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of January 6-12, the conference announced this week. It's Hatcliff's second time winning a weekly award this season.

Offensive – Mak Hatcliff, Doane University (Guard)
Mak Hatcliff of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women's basketball offensive player-of-the-week. Hatcliff, a senior from Beatrice, Nebraska, scored 39 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in Doane's win over 14th-ranked Concordia. She shot 56-percent from the floor on the week as she averaged 26.5 points. She also averaged eight rebounds per game for the week.
Beatrice native Mak Hatcliff has become a star for Doane women's basketball. She's missed some time this season but returned with a vengeance last week, scoring an impressive 39 points to help spark Doane to a ranked win over Concordia.
Doane women's basketball is 13-4 and 8-3 in GPAC play heading into a gauntlet of a schedule this week that features games against Hastings and Briar Cliff, two teams currently ranked in the NAIA's Top 25.
