Johnson-Brock Stifles Weeping Water's Offense in Doubleheader Sweep
WEEPING WATER, NE - Johnson-Brock grabbed a pair of road wins at Weeping Water on Saturday afternoon, as heard on Today's Best Country, B103. The Eagles picked up a 42-24 win in the girls' game before the boys rolled to a 68-20 victory.
In the opener, Johnson-Brock's ladies hit just 8/16 at the free throw line, compared to a 9/10 effort from the Indians, but Weeping Water struggled to hit shots from the field in a 42-24 loss. JB was led by the 15 points of Taryn Ottemann, while Kalison Miller led WW with eleven. The Johnson-Brock squad is now 10-1, while Weeping Water sits at 8-5.
In the guys' game, Johnson-Brock drained ten treys on the way to a 68-20 romp. The Eagles got 18 points from Garrison Bowhay, 16 from Camden Dalinghaus, and a dozen off the hands of Brody Koehler. Gus McGill led WW with just nine. JB's guys are still unbeaten at 11-0, while the Indians slid to 3-8 on the season.
Next up for Johnson-Brock is the MUDECAS Tourney that begins today, while Weeping Water will visit Mead's gym on Tuesday.
