NEBRASKA CITY – Richardson County leads River Country with the number of traffic tickets issued per person.

A total of 1,132 traffic complaints were filed in county court in 2024. A statistical comparison to a population of 7,600, would mean there was a traffic ticket for every six residents.

Cass County issued an average of seven traffic citations per day, but only has one ticket per 10 residents. Otoe County issued nearly four tickets per day, a citation for every 11 residents.

The least ticketed county is Nemaha, where there were 186 tickets making it to court all year. There was one ticket for every 38 of the county's 7,000 residents.
