Bearcats offense fires on all cylinders as Kearney cruises by Norfolk
NORFOLK - From the opening tip until the final buzzer rang, the Bearcats would not be denied.
Kearney made the trip to Norfolk in search of their ninth win and fourth consecutive, meanwhile the Panthers welcomed the challenge, in hopes of beating one of Class A's best.
The Bearcats found success almost immediately, keying in on the perimeter shot and forcing the Panthers into quick possessions.
The 18-4 lead for Kearney at the end of the first quarter was a great start, but the Bearcats busted the game open in the second, jumping out to a 43-14 lead at halftime.
Kearney didn't slow down after the break and rolled into another victory, beating Norfolk 70-27.
The Bearcats scored 13 three-pointers, 9 of which came from sophomore Jacob Weber, tying a school record that he already owns from earlier in the year.
Weber lead the way with 27 points, while Asher Endorf tacked on 14 and Ben Johnson managed 12.
Norfolk was lead by Isidro Rosas in scoring with 6 points, all of which came in the final quarter. Braylon Owens scored 5 points and Tavien Winsley had 4 points of his own.
The win marks the 7th straight for the Bearcats over the Panthers dating back to 2017.
Kearney moves to 9-3, while Norfolk slides to 4-9.
