SCHUYLER, Neb. -- A Schuyler man will appear in Colfax County Court in August for three felony charges.

58-year-old Ricky Youngbear is being charge with unlawful/intentional discharge of a firearm, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, and terroristic threats.

According to court records, on July 21 around 5 p.m., the Colfax County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a home on Banner St. in Schuyler for a shots fired call.

The responding deputy said that he saw the three reported victims hiding on the south side of the home where the incident happened.

The Colfax County Sheriff's Office said that the deputy spoke to the three men, who reported that Youngbear had been drinking when an argument between him and one of the men started.

The Sheriff's Office said that Youngbear then left angry stating "he was going to get his gun and shoot them all."

CCSO said the deputy was advised that a short while later, the men reportedly heard a gunshot, believing it was a shotgun. The three men reportedly said to the deputy that the gunshot could be a shotgun or an M-80.

The deputy said that the men reported they heard BBs hit the wind chimes hanging on the porch.

One of the three men said he was the one to call law enforcement, and CCSO said another stated it "scared the hell out of me."

CCSO said the owner of the home came outside and told the deputy that Youngbear had been at the house since 2 p.m. and had too much to drink.

Officials said the homeowner also reported that Youngbear was starting a fight with one of the men.

When Youngbear left, CCSO said the home owner reported that Youngbear said he was going to "shoot them all" while her grandchildren were at the home.

CCSO said the deputy went to Youngbear's house to assist two other deputies who were there asking for the shotgun that he had reportedly used.

The Sheriff's Office said they allowed Youngbear to lock up his home before being placed under arrest.

The gun that was allegedly used during the incident reportedly still had the spent shotgun shell in hit, and it was taken for evidence by the deputies.

CCSO said Youngbear told them he wasn't shooting at them, but was shooting in the air because he "wanted to make a loud noise."

Youngbear reportedly denied saying that he was going to kill the men, and he just wanted to make a loud noise like a firework.

CCSO said that Youngbear then asked the deputy to take him to jail.

Youngbear has a bond set for 10% of $100,000, and he has a hearing set for Aug. 8 at 10:30 a.m. in Colfax County Court.
