SCHUYLER, Neb. -- Authorities said three were taken to the hospital following an accident at the beginning of May. 

The Colfax County Sheriff's Office said that on May 5 around 11:40 a.m., two vehicles hydroplaned and crashed into each other on the Richland Curve between Columbus and Schuyler. 

CCSO said the drivers of each vehicle, as well as a passenger from one of them, ended up in the hospital. 

Officials reported that the two vehicles hydroplaned in separate incidents. The met in the median, after losing control. 

Colfax County Sheriff's Office responded as well as Nebraska State Patrol for traffic control, Schuyler Fire & Rescue, and Columbus Fire & Rescue. 

The Highway had been closed for 30 to 40 minutes due the the accident.
