LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Nebraska basketball team landed two important transfers on Wednesday afternoon.

The Huskers hauled in Brice Williams from Charlotte and Rienk Mast from Bradley, with both players announcing their transfers via Instagram.

Williams has averaged 9.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest for the 49ers. He averaged 13.8 points per contest this past season. He went for a career-high 32 points against UAB in March. It was one of three games that Williams erupted for 30 points or more this season, and one of nine times in the campaign he went over 20.

The 6-foot-7, 215 lb. North Carolina native started a total of 27 games in his final two seasons at Charlotte.

Mast is a Netherlands native who averaged 11.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in three seasons at Bradley. He scored a career-high 30 points against Northern Iowa this past season.

For his career, the 6-foot-9, 240 lb. Mast has shot 49.5 percent from the field and 32.9 percent from behind the three-point line.

Both players have played three seasons and redshirted one. Each will have two seasons of eligibility remaining thanks to the NCAA granting a free season due to the COVID-19 year.

Nebraska is still playing the waiting game on two key players. Keisei Tominaga has not yet announced whether he will return to the Huskers, while Nebraska is still pursuing former Millard North standout and Gonzaga transfer target Hunter Sallis.
