Wahoo man dies during Monday accident

WAHOO, Neb. -- Authorities in the metro area said that a 36-year-old Wahoo man died in a car accident near Cedar Bluffs.
On Tuesday, the Saunders County Sheriff's Office said that around 11:45 a.m. they responded to a single-vehicle accident near the intersection of County Road X and County Road 16 on the east edge of Cedar Bluffs.
The Sheriff's Office said that while investigating the accident, it was determined that around 11:30 p.m. Monday a Chevrolet 1500 pickup was heading north on Highway 109 when it left the road to the left.
Authorities said that after the vehicle left the road, it went through a ditch and then became airborne over County Road X, hitting a tree on private property, flipping and coming to rest several hundred feet north of County Road X.
SCSO said that the driver, identified as 36-year-old Jedd Lofgren of Wahoo, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Lofgren was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and declared dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Officials said that Lofgren's next of kin have been notified.
Saunders County was assisted by Cedar Bluffs Fire and Rescue at the scene.
