Three Northeast men's soccer players claim All-American status

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Three Northeast Community College men's soccer players have received national honors, getting tabbed as NJCAA All-Americans on Wednesday.
Jeevan Purewal, Luca Baltzer and Teun van der Donk were named to 2022 NJCAA Division II Men’s Soccer All-America Teams, with Purewal claiming first-team status.
Purewal earned the captain's role for the Hawks as a freshman and was named First Team All-American for his play on the pitch. Purewal was 12th in the NJCAA DII ranks in goals with 16, seventh in assists with 12 and ninth in points with 44.
Baltzer was dominant in the midfield during his freshman season at Northeast and was awarded Second Team All-American for his efforts. Baltzer had five goals, finished 20th in the NJCAA DII ranks in assists with 9 and had 19 points.
van der Donk shut down whichever side of the field he was lined up on in 2022 and was recognized as a Second Team All-American for play. van der Donk finished 20th in the NJCAA DII ranks in assists with nine as a defensive player.
The Hawks were Region XI Champions, Plains District Champions and qualified for the 2022 NJCAA DII Men’s Soccer Championship.
