COLUMBUS, Neb. -- Multiple vehicles were involved in Columbus crash that sent one person to the hospital early Thursday evening.
A 2001 Ford pickup was traveling westbound in the outside lane of a crowded 23rd Street when an eastbound Toyota Prius was attempting to turn left into the Sonic parking lot, according to Capt. Douglas Molczyk of the Columbus Police Department.
As the Prius was attempting to turn, the car and the pickup collided, Molczyk said.
Molczyk said the pickup continued westbound after the collision and got stuck underneath a tractor trailer, which had been stopped due to congestion and construction.
The pickup driver was taken to the hospital. The driver of the car declined medical treatment. The semi driver was uninjured.
