Motorcyclist killed in Omaha crash

OMAHA, Neb. -- A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Omaha Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m., Omaha Police officers were called to a crash on N. 132nd Street near Sahler Street.
According to investigators, a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle was northbound on 132nd Street when a 2010 Acura TSC attempted to cross 132nd Street from the Target parking lot. The motorcycle struck the driver's side of the Acura, OPD said.
The motorcyclist, 41-year-old Steven R. Minor Jr., was transported to Bergan Mercy with CPR in progress. Minor died shortly after arrival at Bergan, OPD said.
The 17-year-old driver of the Acura was uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation. It was the 21st fatality crash to be investigated by the Omaha Police Department Traffic Unit this year.
