Report: Large barn fire in Silver Creek

SILVER CREEK, Neb.-- Firefighters battled a barn blaze in east central Nebraska, Tuesday evening. 

A Nance County Emergency Management official tells NCN that a barn caught fire in Silver Creek. 

The Silver Creek Fire Department was first on the scene, with the Fullerton Fire Department called in for mutual aid.

Fire officials immediately started releasing animals from the barn. 

There is no word on injuries or the extent of the situation.
