COLUMBUS, Neb. -- A new and unique rental option is coming to Columbus.

Columbus realtor Shae Spitz has announced that an old vacant church on 18th Avenue will be turned into a short-term rental location that can be used for family weekends or special occasions such as bridal showers and banquets.

"I had a lot of people approach me and ask me where they could have baby showers and bridal showers where their family and friends can come and stay the night instead of renting a place to stay and a place for the event," Spitz said. "I started thinking I want to get something similar to that in addition to an Airbnb of some sort."

An open house will be held to celebrate the opening on April 7th from 5 to 8 pm.

People will be able to start booking on April 8th.

Spitz also mentioned she is looking to hire someone to manage the building and rental requests.

"If you have any potential interest in being the manager of this building, taking it on, scheduling events, bookings, and following up with clients, I'd love for someone to reach out to me because I want to have a good team and be able to provide the best service," Spitz said.

Prices to rent the building will vary from $225 to $275 dollars before fees.

The home includes multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, a basement, and a basketball court.

The building is located at 3370 18th Avenue, Columbus.
