LINCOLN, Neb. -- Some much-needed relief at the pump could be coming soon for Nebraskans.

The tax on the price of gas is going down next year in Nebraska.

Beginning January 1, changes to the wholesale and variable tax rate will be 24.8 cents per gallon, a nearly three-cent drop per gallon.

The state's Department of Revenue says that change will be in effect until June of next year.
