Fremont remembers family killed in Highway 275 crash

After a crash claimed the lives of four people from Fremont, the community is rallying together to honor their lives and support their family.

SCRIBNER, Neb. - After a crash claimed the lives of four people from Fremont, the community is rallying together to honor their lives and support their family.

There was a vigil Monday night with friends, family and the community at the Clemmons Park in Fremont for the Huisman family.

37-year-old Heidi Lykens-Huisman, 29-year-old Joshua Huisman, and their children, 10-year-old Jaymasin and 9-month-old Nova were killed Thursday in a crash outside Scribner on Highway 275.

The family will be laid to rest Friday.

Friends have also set up a GoFundMe page to help support remaining members of the family.
