STANTON COUNTY - A teenager is recovering from injuries after a weekend car accident in Stanton County.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a car accident about three miles west of Pilger on Highway 275 Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say a 16-year-old driver lost control of the car after he slowed for stopped traffic on the highway.

The car went into the ditch and rolled.

The driver was taken to a hospital in Norfolk for treatment of their injuries.

The Sheriff's Office says speed and inexperience are considered factors in the accident.
